Crazy Crawler

When we were moving Luke was being fussy until finally we found that he just wanted to play in the box for a while. It worked out good at the time cause he was still learning to sit up and would fall over but the box kept him upright. Stick a toy in and you are good to go!

True Aggie Pride! I found this little Utah State sweat outfit at TJ Maxx the other day and I had to get it for Luke. He is only wearing the sweater in this picture but the sweat pants say Utah State too. Gotta love those aggies!
Ha ha. This picture is just funny. The angle makes his head look huge. I had this little pajama outfit and I had never used the hat so I tried it on the other day and it just looked hilarious so we had to get a picture.

Luke just started crawling a few weeks ago and he LOVES his new found mobility. He is trying to stand up on everything and get into everything now. It has helped a little with his fussiness but is much harder to keep him safe these days. It is so fun to see his little personality develop. I can see James' determination in him. When he decides he wants to get up on something he doesn't stop trying until he gets it. He can hold onto stuff and stand pretty well now but still falls sometimes. It will be interesting to see how long it takes him to figure out the walking thing.

6 Month Pictures

I just went and got Luke's pictures taken at the beginning of October and just picked up the prints this week so we scanned in some of the ones we got. Thankfully he was really good and smiled the whole time so it was not too hard to get a few good pics. The photographer did a good job and I am happy with how they turned out. I have not got any pictures professionally done of him before and so I am glad I finally did it. I feel bad this is only his first real photo shoot but it is hard to know when to go get pictures when you have a baby that cries 90% of the time. Anywho, I am glad we have documentation of the mad scientist hair! We cut it a few days ago so it is not as long and crazy on top anymore. I don't get as many comments on it at the store anymore, but I think it looks better. I can't believe how much his hair has lightened up since he was born. It used to be as dark as mine. Crazy.

Luke is now 7 months and has gotten his two top teeth. He is sure growing up fast these days! He is getting stronger everyday and is getting close to crawling. He can pull himself around in circles, scoot backwards and sometimes gets up on his knees a little bit. He loves watching everything you do and especially loves playing with his dad. We love him lots and are glad we have him!

3 to 5 months

I am finally at the end of updating with pictures of Luke. Hopefully now I can keep up. Our family has had some fun changes in the last little while. James got a new job in Salt Lake City so we moved out of Logan. Yeah! Don't get me wrong it is a beautiful place to live, and we loved it there, but after a while you just have to get out to the bigger world. It really was such a relief to leave that dark wood paneled apartment (yet we do miss our $400 rent). Anyway, we like being closer to family and much more shopping. I was able to quit my full time job that I was about to go back to and stay home with our little guy which is great for me. I am still trying to do some part some stuff for some much needed extra cash but at least we are slowly moving up in the world. Here are a few pictures from the last few months.

Luke at about 3 months when we were moving. It was sort of crazy. We only had 2 weeks from the time when we found out about to job until we had to be in Salt Lake. I really don't miss that nasty brown tile!

A picture at our new place. He likes to eat everything these days! He is about 4 months here.

On the balcony of our new place. We are right out from the tennis court. That makes James really, really, happy!

Luke at I at our new table. We did not have a table so James found this one at D.I. it was only 15 bucks and solid wood so he went for it. He thought we could refinish it and such. Anyway, the only drawback was that the bottom was covered with about 400 pieces of gum (not exaggerating). It was so gross. James (masked and gloved of course) scraped it all off and we sanitized with a million clorox wipes and now it is a satisfactory table. Man the things you do when you are poor....but hey notice we have white walls!

Luke is about as long as a tennis racquet (27 inches for those who don't know). James likes this picture cause he is holding the racquet and his drool soaked shirt looks like he has been playing a hard match. Ha ha.

It is hard to catch him smiling on camera. As soon as he sees it he stares at the light and won't smile but we managed to get a few. Gotta love those chubby cheeks!

He is getting so big. He has two small bottom teeth coming in already!

Luke at 5 months. His hair is getting longer and it sticks straight up out of control. I love it. We got this cute onesie shirt thing at the baby gap clearance the other day. I just think it is so cute. I love buying cute baby clothes. Don't mind my messed up hair. I sort of forget what I look like sometimes...

Blessing

Here are some pictures from Luke's blessing. He was 6 weeks old here. It is hard to see but I loved his little bow tie on his shirt. Thanks to aunt Karee for taking these great pictures!

2 Months

He loves his baths.

He likes strolling around in our homemade Moby wrap.

Just chillin' in the swing seat.

He started smiling more at this age.

The first day he laughed. Of course it was Uncle David who got it out of him. He was about 3 months in this picture.
Here are some pictures of Luke at about 2 months old give or take a few weeks.

3 Weeks

Luke at 3 weeks.

He has always been hard to get a burp out of so he stayed in this position a lot.  He lost all of his hair and then it grew back in
Mr. Mischief
The broccoli was a little much for him.

One of the only ways we could get him to sleep for the first three months of his life.

Trying out his first Sunday outfit.

One Week

Luke at about a week old. Can't believe how much he has grown since then! He was so tiny!

Our Man Luke

Some of you may have been wondering if I fell off the face of the earth...Well I sort of did thanks to the above child. Little Luke came to us just two days after his due date (which felt more like two weeks) and was healthy as can be, 7 lbs 13 oz! He has been a pretty fussy baby pretty much from day one but is starting to get better as he gets older. I guess that is what I get for having a pretty easy pregnancy. Anyway, we love him anyway, fussy or not, he is still sweet. I am trying to enjoy his cuddliness while I can cause I know soon enough he won't want to be held and cuddled so much. Since I am a little behind I am going to start to try and post some pictures of him and how much he has grown so far. Here are some when he was just brand new. I can't believe how much he has grown since these pictures were taken a few months ago. It is crazy!
